The Male Sex Workers Movement

The struggle
 It was such  a colourful event on the Launch of Male sex workers Movement in Uganda.
Much was learnt and Entertainment was staged by one of the trans feminists group,Rock Angels.
Among the Topics discussed were the challenges male sex workers face in the country,among which include,
1.Forced sex by the police when caught on streets,bars,night clubs and from there brothels.
2.Imprisonment & Detention without trials accompanied by forced labour.
3.Increasing murder cases.
4.Fear by  Female sex workers to compete with them on the local  market.
5.Assaults & Rape.
6.Some clients deny them their payments after the services.
7.Failure of the Government to recognize Male sex work as work.
8.Discrimination faced in Health centers etc.
 We concluded by calling for more Allies to join us in the struggle of fighting the stigma and discrimination involved in Sex work movement.
